It has come to my attention that people are not noticing this amazing app that is being produced for Android to give full missionplanner functionality and more using Mavlink to your UNMODIFIED android device

Now the new vers of Droid planner changed it's name, it's Tower, try it and enjoy our group http://diydrones.com/group/tower-droidplanner , you can find other users there.
This would be very interesting on a Win RT Tablet as well.
@Shyam Balasubramanian A micro USB to USB converter won't work. You must use a proper USB OTG cable for an Android device to communicate with 3DR radios.

Does that mean that if my telemetry has a range of 15km, I can also play with RTL, Auto, etc.. up to 15 km ?
I have Samsung Duos (Android based, but it is not a tablet). I bought the micro USB to USB converter and connected it via USB @ 115 Kbps baud rate.
I hear the sound 'Disconnected disconnected'. Any clue if there is some device driver that needs to be installed in here, and should it work out of the box?

HI is it possible to get the real time video from Quad into droid planner . If yes which communication link will be used please post here if there is any connectivity diagram for this .
Have I seen correct that the guys on Conservation Drones are using this as well as some kind of console gamepad instead of a traditional Tx?
