Don Wright sent me an email stating that he is adding more detail to the website to improve the purchasing process.
I ordered the modified Eye-Plane kit yesterday and received a detailed email from Don Wright who is selling the Eye-Plane kits. His email was very courteous and helpful concerning my Eye-Plane purchase. I would recommend him to anyone considering the purchase of an Eye-Plane.
It's a Jarel design, meaning that a) it's not going to be "conventional", b) construction will be somewhat involved, but c) it will fly better than you expect.
In general his designs aren't the best if what you want is to have "one of them" like the other guy. But if you appreciate being along for the ride as someone pushes the envelope a bit, they are hard to beat.
I would not attempt to build this model, unless you are very experienced at model building, as there is some serious wing shaping that must be performed unless you buy an ARF version. The wing shaping that must be performed, if not done correctly, can seriously affect the performance of this aircraft. The fact that the kit is so cheap, relative to other foam kits like the URSUS, is that you must perform the wing shaping and that takes a fair amount of time and effort.
