In preparation to adding an APM & FPV gear we tested the Shrike after some minor adjustments to CG and trim, and conducted weight testing by adding 130g of dead weight, and then 250g of dead weight (which represents our APM2, FPV gear, and an extra battery).
It took the weight no problem, and our adjustments allowed the plane to fly perfectly without assistance.
Whats next? PUTTING ON THE APM!!! We can't wait...

good luck with your APM-ify-ing, looks cool
What Nick is questioning is the affect of motor torque on the airframe...but that is a LOT of elevon trim and torque doesn't seem like the prime suspect. With that much trim any command that will push the elevon further in that direction will run out of room quickly.
Even with good video, it is difficult to diagnose. Airframe/wing symmetry seems likely to be the problem.
Glad you guys got the COG it trimmed out and flying level Good Luck
Once you fit the APM fly around a bit and log your flight speeds. Then select the cruise you need. Don't try and fly too fast in auto, the NAV will suffer. Only change one setting at a time. If you change more than that you won't really know what changed.
You are too young to remember separate graphic equalizers on car stereos. Everyone spent an entire drive moving the sliders when in reality the stock all at neutral setting was probably the best.
Tinker less Fly more
Hi guys, you could try adding a washer or two to the right upper corner and 2-3 on the right bottom skrew of the motor, to ad some down thrust.
Assuming the fuselage is perfectly aligned:
trim up both sides, shows that you propably ironed reflex because you didnt use your negatives during sheeting. maybe thats the same reason for little differences bettwen wings (bending, washout etc). Use your negatives every time you want to do something with the cores (glue spars, sheeting, hinge) and use a hobby or travel iron..
ps. i watch your videos and iam great fun, especialy Trents -perfect for narating voice- at the end. Huge! progress from your first episodes.
if the prop is spinning counter-clockwise(looking at it at 9:30) the force on the craft will be clock wise. Up on the left side and down on the right. I don't think that would have that much affect stabilization. I think you are correct on looking at the aerodynamics of your wings. I don't know if you have the ability or time but if it's not too difficult or costly try making a new right wing?
Can't wait to see the APM/FPV footage
