  • Sorry Jarrett.. Didn't see this until just now.  Yes I got it and it flies quite well.  I have it apart right now for some changes (mostly related to FPV and Pixhawk placement) but hope to get it back in the air Monday or Tuesday and get it tuned.

  • Deal.  Ordered.

  • It's taking so much self-control not to order one of these and drop an APM in it!  Looks to be a good ship for several applications

  • Ailerons do not appear to be direct-drive: http://www.readymaderc.com/store/images/AirTitan-01.jpg

  • However notice

    • The sturdy undercarriage avoiding hand launching a buzz saw like the X8
    • Steerable nosewheel so you you don't fish tail all the way down the runway
    • Plenty of wing area for load carrying.
    • Upper deck to put comms gear on well away from the autopilot.

There are some advantages to this aircraft.

    My 0.22 cents worth:

    - Looks like no flaps, only ailerons and ailerons don't go to the wingtips

    - enormous black aileron hinges

    - twin vertical fins seems unnecessary and they're slightly out of the propwash (but they are big)

    - added weight of extra fin, rudder, servo and hardware.

    - empty weight seems a bit heavy

    - 1500W, for what!? To test flutter? Go into orbit?

  • Is that flush servo's I see in the wings? If so, I'm surprised we don't see more direct-drive servo use. I understand there are packaging reasons to use linkages, but even still - would like to see more direct drive use - less bits to go wrong, and more aerodynamically efficient.

  • too many tails!
