  • Black Sheep in the UK is a beer made in Yorkshire. http://www.blacksheepbrewery.com/

    Doubt they sponsored Trappy.

  • Trappy and his group call themselves "Team Black Sheep."  Doesn't that pretty much say it all as to what they think about following rules?  I wonder if they used that name when they started flying around mountains, or only adopted it when they decided to tread where they knew they shouldn't go?  In any case, their name implies one of their goals, which is to tweek people.  I'm beginning to question the judgement of Flite Test for giving this guy a forum.
  • Doing what he did in NYC, in any other city would have been just as irresponsible and dangerous. But I guess he's "courteous" and "granting" interviews...?

What kind of rules doe he abide by...? That was funny.

  • While I really like the video's, I think his flight over parts of NYC was irresponsible and thoughtless. I would imagine if his home city was affected by a 911 event like NYC he may feel differently. I would have less of a problem if this would have been done in any other large US City.

I'm a big fan of FPV but not to the point of being irresponsible.

  • Awesome interview...... i like it.....
  • great that they let him comment his videos.
  • Irresponsible that they would even give this guy time of day. FliteTest Shame on you!
  • 41km is quite real:
1.He flies in the mountains (to be on top of the mountain)
2.In the mountains there is no interference, both in cities
3.ego high place position provides him with a long range signal
4.signal reflected from the mountains (are the enhancement of its patch antenna (I don `t know exactly how to formulate it in english)
5.on got a lot of experience in the early mistakes
6.They not said exactly what he uses, and with what settings, and we do not know exactly under what conditions he was flying.

    I have very bad english))
  • He says what he uses, but jeez there isn't enough detail in it. ezUHF for rx/tx (200mW or 600mW), lawmate 2.4ghz video tx/rx 1W. I am not too sure about the antennas. But even with antennas.. 26miles is 41km. Isn't that a seriously long distance for a 1W 2.4GHz tx? It surely isn't 100% LOS flying either, right? He's going up and down mountains.. would that not interrupt the signal? /me confused.
  • I loved it !
