The GNAT 1080p 60™ is a miniature 1080p camera – 42.1 millimeters long – just over 1.65 inches. It features a 1/3” Progressive Scan CMOS Sensor, 60 fps@1920 x 1080, AGC (Automatic Gain Control), WDR (Wide Dynamic Range), digital zoom, and defog. The GNAT 1080p 60 also supports brilliant DNR (Digital Noise Reduction) technologies like DNR, 3D-NR and 2D+3D.

The point of HD-SDI and that 'large' BNC connector is that it is true professional plug and play. Just connect the standard RG58 coaxial cable between the camera and your HD-SDI recorder/monitor and it works. Pure magic in today's world of ethernet, IP addresses, routing and protocols.

But that being said, perhaps not the solution I would look for in a UAS.

  • Send me an e mail we have a camera that is the same as the GNAT but it has a much small BNC connector and it is a board version that you can put in  your own mount and modify with your own lens.  You can e mail me at Pat@imageops.com.

    Thank you.

  • I understand its size is [supposed to be] an advantage but by the time you work around that BNC connector and add a mounting system and whatever peripheral electronics you'll need (recorder, VTx, voltage regulator, etc.) that advantage seems moot. A GoPro HERO 4 may be a bit larger but it can record in 4K and as others have pointed out you can get 1080p cams for a fraction of that $495 suggest retail price.

  • This has been on the market for 2 years+ right? Things move quickly. For $150 you can now get an 60g action cam with a 16MP Sony sensor and onboard Gyro stabilization and PWM RC Control. (Git Up 2 in case you were wondering). Maybe this has some technical merits but it would need a companion computer.

  • Same camera and I would honor that price of $445.  If you need to order please contact me.
