  • I actually think that LabVIEW would be an excellent choice for a ground station app. Admittedly the screenshot above is not super pretty (probably a work in progress). It is really a _very_ fast way to develop/prototype complicated interfaces. The only drawback is that the development environment is quite pricey but many college students have access to it.
  • I have used LabVIEW, it is a GUI IDE mad just for the cRio an embedded controller. We use one on our robot in the FIRST Robotics competition. In my view you are much better off with C or C++.
  • K lets say price dose not matter what kinda of uav could I build with a 5 grand limit ? the good one seem to be around 13k for plug and play im shooting for 25 miles with 2 cams .. also I like the eagle tree pro osd ... also would like to be able to do hand overs to my friends. Im still learning thats why im not just buying one more fun to build one I think !

We have not announced price or availability for the shield yet, but you can assume it will be cheaper than ArduPilot. Only differential pressure sensor is included, but other sensors can be easily added. (The shield does lots of other stuff, but we'll reveal all that later)
  • Your right , but 900$ is the all cost for an Ardupilot UAV its very too expensive.
Can you more specific about the shield ? (price , availably )
  • 3D Robotics
In fairness, that includes the hardware. But it's still very expensive. We'll offer all that with a ArduPilot shield, Xbee modules and free software, for around 1/10th the price. Or get a dedicated EagleTree system for 1/2 the price.
  • Its sold for 899$ , not for everyone.

WOW and that's a commercial APP? iuk.
  • no. just by looking at GUI it seems that it's written in LabVIEW...
