Hi everyone! I've got another update to iDroneCtrl ground station for iPhone and iPad. Along with our Apple MFi approved iDroneLink™ lighting accessory you can control your personal drone from your iPhone or iPad over the same long range datalink that ships with IRIS+ and many other compatible drones.
What's new in version 1.3.0:
- Audible low battery alerts
- Audible mission waypoint alerts
- Ability to disable audible alerts
- New settings screen and relocated radio config
- In app iDroneLink™ information
- In app support requests
We have received a lot of great feedback so far and we really appreciate it. Keep it coming :)

Very cool product. However when I'm flying manually, I don't often use a top-down map. I'm more interested in data like altitude, current, voltage, velocity, signal strength, etc. With the map dominating the screen space, especially on an iPhone, that other information can be hard to see at a glance. Is there any chance you guys will implement a screen centered on this data, rather than the map?
On a related note, I think there is a lot of room to innovate new ways of displaying this data for people who aren't used to reading traditional cockpit displays or interpreting the raw data values. For instance graphically annotating the drone's current altitude relative to both the ground and the legal maximum ceiling might help new pilots understand their situation better that just giving them a number.
That's very nice!
