Just posted photos and video of my Skywalker. After the third(last) flight, the fuselage is a write off. Lots of work went into it. On the brighter side, the only electronic (expensive) item damaged was the $30 video camera for the video downlink. The ContourHD camera in the nose not only captured great HD video but also survived the crash (actually two crashes, two deployments to Afghanistan and the Warrior Dash on Saturday).

James,
I looked at those photos on RC Groups... Thats amazing. My fuse was not nearly so damaged. I have backed away from extensive repairs as I have enough trouble with my own flying skills, a warped/crinkled wing/fuse is a variable I don't want to deal with. Next time I'll try my hand at repair.
I was otherwise enagaged this past weekend, couldn't fly. I'll try again this weekend. I feel much more confident this time around.

prob. camera transmitter mount and thats why u start out with low dollar units and it dosent hurt as bad WHEN u have a hard landing hey i whould not get rid of the outher one u can get the carbon tubes every thing out of it
Also, the $30 video camera that was bent in the crash still works... doesnt seem to autoadjust gain for brightness, but it basically works.
Hi Mike
That's correct - I thought you might've attached the bands as you did just for the photo :)
About the elevator - there are many people experiencing it, including myself. have you reinforced your elevator with a carbon fibre strip? Make sure your servo is strong enough. A metal gear servo is ideal. Where are the pics? I've had some bad crashes and could give you some advice.
Do you know about the hot water trick to straighten bent EPO ?
yes i can see them now i did not see that much damage always bring tape and glue and first thing i do try to get 3 crashes above the ground
Hein,
Here's a link to my videos... Hope that works.
The rubber banding you see was strictly for temporary assembly so I could take pictures of the intact airplane before I crashed it.... In practice I stretch each of 4 bands from one rod, across the wing (straight forward) to the other rod, then back at a 45 degree or so angle to engage the rod end opposite the one I stated, sort of like a "V". I do this 4 times, alternating starting sides...

I've searched on what I think is your profile page and could only find your build photos. Can you give us a link?
By the way - you're taking a risk fixing the rubber bands the way you do - especially with the weakened slot where the wings fit in above your APM. The rubber bands should each go over 3 rods to make sure it's got good tension, like so: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TgTAffKvylk
Ahhh.. I think I understand the problem. The videos and pictures are on my Profile page, not on the Blog page... I'll see about moving them over... I'm new to the profiles/blog functions here...
