Hein du Plessis commented on OG's blog post Professional DYI radio communication equipment has changed from analog to digital
"This is available on foxtechfpv.com. Used it before. Quick installation but I had issues with video feed. Others get the claimed 3km no problem. Ground unit is a hotspot so once your laptop or phone connects to it, mission planner or tower loses…"

Hein du Plessis replied to Bartek Sad's discussion Bad AHRS - Pixhawk
"Hi Gus - are you flying copter or plane? If copter - you need a compass - then you just need to make sure everything is calibrated and take it outside- the AHRS error should disappear. With plane (with all compasses disabled), you'll still have the…"

Hein du Plessis commented on Charles Blouin's blog post 10 km high flight with a 1kg quadcopter!
"I've been to 4.1km with fixed wing FPV and I can tell you the props really lose bite up there. Also, most GPSes don't work over 3km altitude. Typical baros on FCs at very low pressures are almost useless."
