Landing In difficult area

Just a short video to share some difficult situation we are facing when flying mission in Highland area.

In this kinds of situation, you really need to use throttle to control the altitude and elevator to control air speed. The touch down point must be accurate to avoid overshoot which may cause damage to the air frame.

    I have not try parachute landing because of limited open space available in most of our mission area. The plane may end up hanging on top of a tree. 

    Skywalker has a very good glide ratio. The approaching speed is actually quite slow but since the landing area is so limited, we have to get the plane down as soon as possible, so the final touch down looks a little rough.

    Nice piloting in a tough situation.  It's things like this that encourage me to keep working on helicopters. ;)

    great landing, seems like you came in way too hot though maybe that planes glide ratio isn't good ?

    Seems like the parachute landing system would be ideal for areas like this.

    Really nice landing and really glad I don't have your landing conditions, it would be a very expensive process.
