Hi Bill,
Yes, that's true you need a home before. Now, that's ok for me.
Thanks!
@Nisouck I did some further investigation. The issue you cannot add a mission item until there is a vali home position reported from the copter/plane. If you arm the vehicle, and disarm a Home mission item will be added. You can then add more mission items. I will fix this in the next release so if no Home Position set, it will create a place holder so a mission can be created. Thx for posting the question. Hope that helps :)
Long press on the Map view will show a a circular context menu to select a Waypoint (green icon), ROI (target icon), or '+' icon for Guided mode to that point.

Could you explain please?
@Chris, No Android version of MAV Pilot at this moment in time, but you can use Tower on those devices.
@Randy You can get the 'free version' if you download Find My Drone. It works similar, but doesn't have the extra features like mission planning, text 2 speech audio and parameter editing.
'Free' copies are available to active beta testers. contact me if interested
Android?
That's really cool Bill. I'm not an iPhone user but it's great to see this! $9.95 but as a friend once told me, "we all gotta eat!".
Here's a screen shot of Plane support.
MAV Pilot can connect over either WiFi or 3G/LTE to a single drone. It's just connecting using IP. It's either a TCP connection or UDP listening connection.
By "WiFi (LTE/3G)", I assume you mean Wifi *or* LTE/3G, yes?
