I saw this platform at IARC last year. The upside down motor is to get clearance for the camera FOV. They have a paper on the IARC website.

Interesting that one of those motors is upside down, I had noticed that before. Being an Ascending Technologies customer I cannot begin to say how truly excellent their platforms are.
