Mugin 3M v III

The new design of the Mugin UAV 3M is out.

It's a huge UAV platform with 300 mm wingspan. The platform caters to larger UAS projects such as universities or commercial projects. It's really not a beginner platform.

The platform is available here: Mugin UAV 3m vIII

It comes with or without engine/prop.

    20 kg! But why?

    Thanks Hooks, I do need a bird that can carry 20 kg of equipment. I've submitted a proposal with a mjolnir. Is this better? The old Mugin had its cargo bay way off the cg, which is bad.

    The V-tail will soon be posted in the Web as well.

  • Hey Soviet, you cant see my picture ? its a V-tail option.

    @Hein If you are unsure then I think you definitely need to consider whether they have the right one for your project.

    Not many need a big bird like this.

  • I wonder if they will offer it with a V-Tail option? Other than that, this thing is a great deal considering it's size and included goodies and apparent building quality.

    What are the improvements over the old model? I've set my mind on a mjolnir, now I have to reconsider :)
  • @hook...Do you know the average endurance with the 2 1500cc tanks?   what is the average max payload weight?

    wing are fiberglass? carbone fiber? or covered balsa strucutre?

    @Hooks,

    Yes and only with dead stick else para gets chopped  up by prop :(.  Any Ideas/suggestion  for para?

    I think a Para landing should only be a failsafe option, not a standard way to land the bird.
