3D Robotics

3689414330?profile=originalOne of the cool features of the Mission Planner is that you can load and save configuration files. So you can not only have different files for different aircraft, but also share them with others.

This is particularly handy for common airframes. Once someone has tuned one well, they can upload their configuration file and save others the trouble of having to go through the same process.

I've now created a place in the APM and ArduCopter wikis that you can use to share configuration files. Please post your files in the comments here and I'll upload them to the relevant wikis as they come in.

The APM Configuration File Repository is here.

The AC2 Configuration File Repository is here.

*** Note, 2.0.26, and 2.0.27 had a flaw that switched Alt_hold and Simple mode. Don't fly it. This is fixed in 2.0.28. ***

Weird. It looks like the "add file" button only shows up in discussion forum comments, not blog post comments. Anyway, if you just post it anywhere else as a zip and post the link here that would be great.

Ihab Ali: Can you please upload that a file (not pasted in as text)? Thanks!

Fabien, can you check again or explain the problem you're seeing more?  I've clicked on all the links above and they all seem fine.  Maybe it was a temporary problem?

  • i want to donwload the file buts link dont work, maybe ist broken.
  • I suggest to include at least your frame type/orientation, motor to motor distance, motor model and any modification on default parameters, for example:

    QuadX,50cm,KDA20-22L | YAW_OPTION=0, YAW_P=0.21 (non real values!)

I hope that everyone with an stable arducopter could contribute with his setup.

Pieter: sure, just include any explanatory text in your comment, with the config file, and I'll add it to the wiki.
  • What about a small textbox where we can add comments to the setings.

  • What is the newest version of APM firmware? 2.1.2 is available in google repository downloads, but I heard some people use 2.2.0. Why it isn't in downloads section or it's just some kind of misunderstanding?
  • Chris you are really fast :)  (Everybody can read for the original discussion here http://diydrones.com/forum/topics/sharing-tunning-parameters)

In addition to share your config file with the community, maybe we should agree some common info like:

    • A description of your setup (frame type, orientation, motors distance, motors.....)
    • a single line with the most relevant parameters (PIDS?) to allow a quick look on the data without ahving to  download, open the file and look for the data.
