    Besides Debut, I think Camstudio is also very good. And Tipcam is the only free screen recorder with zoom. For better features of editing and publishing, DemoCreator is a paid option.

    Thanks for the tip, I just downloaded it. I tried several of the codecs and found the XVID MPeg4 seems to give better quality than most of the rest.

    I've been using this software for a couple of months now and it's great for capturing to mp4 without taking up too much processor.
