Disclaimer: I don't know what I am doing. This seems a bit more complicated than other solutions I have found (since I had to use the Sub Trim) but it works with what is the latest T8J firmware (I think I have the latest but cannot confirm since I see no way of knowing the version # or upgrading the firmware).

These are my settings. I had to use the Sub Trim to move the PWM output of the C switch in the middle position so I would have access to the third mode with D off and fourth with C on (up).





I would welcome feedback if you think there is a simpler way to do this. My screens just didn't match the example that the Wiki points to (http://diydrones.com/profiles/blogs/acmapm-futaba-t8fg-super-mode) or other posts here regarding the T8J.

I assume this is going to become a fairly common radio since it has an SBus receiver and is not too expensive) through the new Taranis looks great.

    I have a T8J as well and here is the configuration I wish to achieve.

    I would like to combine SWF and SWE to do the following;
    SWF - down SWE - down Flight mode is Loiter
    SWF - down SWE - middle Flight mode is Alt Hold
    SWF - down SWE - up Flight mode is Stabilize/manual mode
    SWF - up      SWE - down Flight mode is Autonomous
    SWF - up      SWE - middle Flight mode is Circle
    SWF - up      SWE - up Flight mode is RTL, return to launch

    My other objective is the ability to switch out(in case of emergency) from Autonomous mode to Loiter with switching SWF from the up position to the down position and take over manual control.

    I understand this can be accomplished and needs the steps to setup the above configuration.

  • @Hein, I followed your instructions but I end up with the Mid-C Low-D position to be one state too low (at 1514):

    APM-Planner-v2.0.0-(RC5)-(Punisher.local-- idea what could be affecting it, it should be in the PWM 1361-1490 range. All my screens are the same as yours but the P.MIX5 (1/2) screen where the list arrow is on P-1 for me where it's on P-3 for you. I am not sure what it indicates.
