I'm not an expert on this camera.
I'm not sure on the remote triggering. The intervalometer function will suffice for me, but there is discussion at:

Regarding different non-fisheye lens, I'm ordering a set of alternate lenses, as suggested at: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1971523&page=87
+1 for RC trigger, that is a key point.
Your pic shows high fish eye effect, is it possible to get a different lens or anything else to remove that?
