radio controls

Hi, I am still having problems to get my radio controls in order for my hexa. 

After a couple days of absence, I tried again today to get my radio calibrated, and it still didn't work.
I did receive a message after all from the supplier. I send them a picture of my receiver connections and they said they were right, that is after I changed sides for the cables as was suggested.
I also changed receiver and 8CH transmitter (as I have 2, the second one meant for videography later). It is a Walkera 8CH. Still no success.
I put on the transmitter in plane mode today, put on lippo after taking out the 4-power-wires, connected the USB to MP, clicked on connect with success (a red LED blinks in the receiver), clicked on APM setup in firmware, clicked on calibrate radio in the radio setup,  I see the green bars and small red lines, but when I move the sticks on my transmitter to go to the maximum, these green bars don't move at all. I only have 1500 readings, which mean no connection, no ? 3689438431?profile=original What am I doing wrong ?

I did this inside so no GPS lock and no internet connection, as I supposed this was not necessary for radio setup, but maybe I'm wrong.

Can anybody help me out maybe ? It's frustrating I still couldn't fly my hexa after more then two weeks.

    Yes, I can unplug the ESC's from the board, and the RC cables from my receiver and just power the receiver through the existing power cables with the battery through the hexa (red and black cables), and then connect with the servo on the throttle channel. The same setup as for the first setup with the MP, but connected to the servo instead of the RC cables of the hexa board, OK ?

    UBEC and lipo is ok, what I dont want is to have any ESc connected at the time you power up.

    i assume your UBEc is seperate to your ESCs??? You shouldnt have any ESCs connected at the point of testing. In the meantime, try to read up on Rc systems, especially your RC manual.

    OK, Davey, I don't have my hexa here, I will check this all out on Thursday and come back to you with the result. I suppose you mean throttle with THRO.

    But, is my setup with lippo and UBEC to power the receiver also good ?

    Or, I'm thinking about another setup : can I leave the power cables in the receiver to connect to the power of the hexa battery, and then cable OUT to the servo ?

    I'm asking because I live in Bali, an island, no stores for UAV, all by internet, 10 days wait minimum, and I have no 4,8 V battery. I do have the UBEC though ......

    You should also have a 4.8v battery to power the receiver that came in the pack:

    1. Disconnect the receiver from the hexa completely, you have the photo above to reconnect later.
    2. Plug the servo into the plug marked THRO
    3. Plug the 4.8v battery into the left hand plug where the red/black plug is in the photo above.
    3. Power on your tx, when you move the throttle stick does the servo move? If not, you have an RC problem.

    Actually, I have a 14,8 V lippo. So please correct me if I'm wrong : lippo to UBEC (to transform to 6 V to power the receiver), UBEC to receiver, receiver to servo. Is that right ?

    Davey, OK I got a servo. I have 2 in fact to move the gimbal I want to install later. So, I'm supposed to connect the servo to a battery and to the receiver, to see if it works with the transmitter ?

    Filip,

    I would concentrate on making sure your rc system is working before connecting it to your hexa.

    Servos are little motors used in planes (but not copters). They often come with the rc system but not always. Your hexa uses ESCs instead of servos. Read your RC user manual and try setting your TX and RX up for a plane with a servo, if that works you know the RC side is working.
