Results of two years of work.

This is the result of two years of intense work with major support from Diydrones without this project would have been impossible.
The results are a UAV to perform accurate flight plans in order to photograph large areas with the overlap needed for later processing by a powerful photographs photogrammetry program.
The project has been presented at the Polytechnic University of Cartagena UPCT with great acceptance.

  • Hi FM - this caught your eye too ehh.

I think I saw something above indicating that the frame is a (Multiplex) Mentor. The rest of the detail may be there but my Spanish is poor!!

  • Excellent video!!!
This looks like a great combination of systems for mapping small areas in high detail. If possible, please share your setup. Particularly the airframe and the components used, payload capacity, duration etc.
  • Martin, we had to test many planes to find one with the requirements that we need. We crashed many planes in this process (Maja, EasyGlider, Ursus, ...) and learned to each crash to make a reliable plane. We learned to fly, build, some electronics, some aduino language, imaging process....
APM is a great tool but isn't a profesional solution and often have bugs and the hardware isn't shielded for electronic noise.
Sorry if seen like we developed code or APM PCBs.

Stephen, we don't have yet publications but all will arrive.

  • Do you have a written paper I can read?

  • martin i dont think that mapping platform is an out of the box application.

  • great work. congrats

  • Nice platform and results. I am just curious, what do you mean by two years of intensive development? What is custom on it apart from the integration of APM into the standard model? It is not obvious from the video,

    Thanks

  • Impressive!

    congrats.

  • Thanks for your comments.

The model is a modified Mentor
