Six modes with Graupner MX-16

Maybe there is a better way to do, but this one works fine...

I'm using channel 8 of the radio and the following switches : SW8 (2 positions) and CTRL9 (3 positions)

In the main menu, navigate to “controller settings”

Go to channel 8 and activate the CTRL19 (3-pos switch) as shown here :

Then adjust the following values (+32% and +32%) :

Now back to the main menu, choose “Free mixer” and set the following values (i'm using the third mix in this example you can choose M1 if you want). First S => 8, then select the SW8 (2-pos switch) and then go to the arrow on the right to set the travel and offset.

Set travel and offset according to the following screen :

And that's it you're ready to go... I have the following values, which works fine.

  • Hi,

I already bought Graupner mx-16 with gr-16 receiver but I dont't know how to setup with my Pixhawk.

I know hot to setup Pixhawk in the MissionPlanner but I don't have idea how to setup Graupner radio.

Who can give me instuctions step by step how to do that? I flight on the mode 2 (throttle left)

    Thank You so much,

    Damian

  • can any body send me the file from the micro sd card for this settings from the graupner mx hott series

  • it works with MX-12 too.. thanks !

However have you ever tried to configure throttle failsafe (lost RC signal) with APM ? I have a problem with this and it's not just myself : http://diydrones.com/forum/topics/failsafe-with-graupner-mx-16-hott...

  • I'm a newbie to quad flying (and flying in general). Just got my 3D Robotics Arducopter in the air, done some flight tests and got it to fly stable in Stabilize, Alt Hold and Loiter.

Have tried to set up my Graupner MX-20 according to these instructions, but can't get my 3-way switch (CTRL-9) to work in combination with the 2-way switch (SW8).

The display of my MX-20 it slightly different than the display in these instructions. Can someone with a MX-20 transmitter please post som pictures and comments on how this is done??

  • Hi,
I really liked your post about the six modes for the Graupner Mx-16.
I followed your guide but I can't get the last part about the frequency, periods and so on...
How can I check that? Where can i find it on the radio?
    Thank you,
    Carlo

  • colin,

thx for this post. How can i creat the rest of the PWM pulse signals. Add more mixer? If yes, what are the settings for the additional mixer, thx!

  • I do confirm that this works with the MX-20 also. Thanks!!

  • Work fine for me thanks a lot Colin.

I use 3 modes and with your post i have 6 modes now.

    Thanks again

  • Sorry Michael for the late answer... I have no experience with Graupner telemetry and have never tried the SD card yet.
