I've kept 50% of my Predators in one piece, but only by trying to never fly them. The little one really is squirrly at low speed. The combo of no prop flow over the control surfaces and high aspect ratio wings means that you've got to set up your landing pattern straight and keep the airspeed up or you're going to get a pile of balsa.

Maybe this one with flaps will do better. But definitely not one for the EasyStar crowd.

Our next big contest could be to see which member can land one of these in the fewest number of pieces!

I can hear tears before bedtime
  • Couldn't not wait... ordered today... Will do weight testing and load capability checks.
  • Wow it looks amazing.
there is something about predators/reapers... they look so cool.
I noticed the aircraft's proportions are different to the real thing, it has a bigger wing span. I guess it should make it easier to fly... but then again i am a n00b...
  • Order placed. This is the best looking production I have seen. It flew great in the video and it has flaps so I don't think the weight is an issue. None of us are going to use it for thermaling. That camera gimbal could be made fully functional without too much work.

I think that I will stick with my Maja. I plan to add a tricycle undercarriage like the Predator for landing and taking off. Gotta stay away from the 12" prop on the tail!
