Just wanted to share the launch of the StitchCAM on Kickstarter. The StitchCAM is a revolutionary new multispectral camera drone that simultaneously provides full color images and NIR data. Now every farmer/greens keeper/developer can have NDVI on tap at the push of a button. View StitchCAM Kickstarter for more information
Much thanks to everyone here and to the DroidPlanner and Pixhawk/PX4 teams, without all your hard work this would not have been possible.

Dan - We believe in follow line of site operating limits (from our experience that is ~40 acres). When set for Ag flight settings, our system is designed to cover the full line of site area on a single battery. Once your done with your first 40 acres, swap batteries and fly as many acres as you want.
Phil - All great questions. As with anything in the optics/engineering world, this is not an easy answer. I will share what I can. Our imager collects data from ~400-~950nm. As for resolution, we have seen many inflated specs so we chose to highlight actual images in our video (note the track marks from the dozer in the construction example). As for processing, it is done on the provided tablet (optimization work is in progress with a goal of <10 min processing time). Shadow/row algorithms and output formats are all application specific. For more information regarding your application, email us some more details at info@snapvt.com.
A great use of multicopters! Best of luck!
@SNAP: Thanks, I haven't noticed, just making sure the rules are applied. It's great to have more people working with the code.
Here is the fork link if someone wants to take a look:

Very cool. I am curious what type of area it can cover - it seems that traditionally, fixed-wing platforms can get longer flight times for aerial survey.

We are happy to share, we couldn't have done this without you and your team. We have had it posted on GitHub since April under the user name StitchTAP (forked directly from DroidPlanner). If there is anything else you would like us to do, we would be happy to, just let us know.
Just as a refresher: DroidPlanner is GPLv3 licensed, meaning that you are required to release the modified source code under the same license.

Love it -- another Pixhawk/DroidPlanner based Kickstarter project! Backed..
