Interesting camera with Global Shutter. Can imagine so many VR applications when mounted on a drone! This has 60FPS and 4K video output
Hope the Wifi thingy can be turned on and off to avoid radio interference. Update: Wifi can be turned on and off!! (Jeffrey has added a comment at Kickstarter project page).

The thing with 360 videos using 7 GoPros (or Yi, or something similiar) is post-processing. If this thing spit out stitched up 360 video, well.. $1300 sounds really cheap. Especially since we bought 7 GoPros and a new computer to render the videos last year. All those cost and we still thought it was the cheap solution compared to other solutions back then.
Maybe we were just being dumb, and not creative enough with the DIY. But for the sake of efficiency.. we should've probably gone with the $20k solutions that will stitch out the video on the fly.
I agree about the price guys, however note that as far as I know Xiaomi Yi is rolling shutter!
Exactly, while you actually have the cameras for real, without the risk of getting an email where they apologize for all your money is gone and you will not get any camera.
It is easy to forget that Kickstarter is a lottery ... and NOT a store.
$1300?! You can buy 6 Xiaomi Yi cameras for $450 and print this spherical mount if you want to go DIY.
