The future of TED talks (with quadcopter robocameras), as imagined by director Ridley Scott,

I like the quadcopter robot cameras in this vision of a TED talk in 2023, by Prometheus director Ridley Scott.

It's from his new movie "prometheus".  I don't know if it's in the movie or just a promo, but "Weyland-yutani" was the evil corporation in Aliens.  Prometheus is a prequel to Alien.  It's a really good concept and they are bringing in the concept of androids which play into the franchise heavily.

@chris that is good to hear, talking to one of our diydrones folks who works in film industry that is very likely ;). I would like open source to have the same stability as zenmuse from DJI

In the very near future I see swarms of drones covering events around the world, remember that slightly hokey feature on DVDs when they were first released where you could change the angle in a scene? Imagine being able to pick your view out of 20-30 different views or follow the one the editor/director wants you too. I think we will end up with much more immersion due to the massive amounts of visual data we will start accumulating. Though I think they should all be required to look like Dalek's ;)

They must be gods in 2023: they can produce propellers that makes zero noise, zero buzz.
