Forgive me stupid question folks, but isn't it possible such planes with this amount of work and hardware on them to have failsafe parachute (acting under some altitude or else) which save at least electronics and at most the entire plane?

Range Control : roger Main Control ,Range Control will terminate the Bird (flips cover over big Red button , turns key and presses button , Kaboom , bright Flash in the sky)

Main Control : roger that Range Control we have debris on radar at 5 miles down range, altitude 344 feet AGL

As Dean has mentioned elsewhere lots of foam flying wings next year I think ;-) Don't forget most of this carnage was caused by the flight termination criteria set by CASA, or rather its method.
