  • All I got was this lousy t-shirt!

Really hoped for an additional APM, snif....

Congrats to the grand prize winner (3D printed modular drone kit).!

  • Oh goodies...10 more entries were added to the contest today and mine was included. There is nifty copter with 3d printed parts. (My current big CNC build is supposed to support a 3D head)

Hurray for more entries! I am happy to be included.

  • ...and as of today, my entry was not listed in the contest though previously was pending moderator approval. At least the courtesy of a explanation would be nice. Grrrrrrrr.

  • @Brian Stott - I have been working with this project in few weekends. I had tested all electronics equipments and everything is working fine. Yes, the propellers are contra-rotating. This drone is going to use a APM 2.5 with all inclusive (GPS, OSD, Power Module, 3DR Radio 433MHz). Thanks for the advising, I´ll protect the pilot from the sunlight with a sun protection membrane.

I´ll do a post from this project here in DIY.

  • @Roberto Fonseca --- Wow! That would really be something. Remember to sit under glass is very hot so a mirrored reflective scalloped area above the pilots head and to shade him slightly. But, of course gradient darkened canopy areas are tech too.

Very nice! Is it flying? Are the props counter rotating? What other features?

  • Informations at small letters:

Contest is open to entries from US, Canada [excluding Quebec], UK, China, Belgium, the Netherlands, Australia, Colombia, Germany, Switzerland, Norway, India, New Zealand, and Denmark. The Contest begins at 12:00 a.m. Pacific Standard Time (PT), May 13, 2013. Contest closes for entries at 11:59pm PT, July 8, 2013.

It would be nice if everyone could participate. Good initiative!

    That is my new project!
