UAVs can be used to watch the watchers, too

People tend to assume that UAVs will be used by the police to keep watch on us, but as this video, taken by a RoboKopter of riots in Warsaw, shows, they can equally be used by citizens to keep tabs on the police. No need to wait for the local news to send a helicopter to get the aerial scene of a demonstration, just Do It Yourself!

    Robert, who did he sell it to?  Was it run in any mainstream media?

    Well this flight was not for police control, the pilot tried to make any material to sell. Which he did afterwars despite terrible quality :) There was also full size heli hovering all the time above the two demonstrations but at much greater height.

    Would have been nice to see them land on one of the roof tops and hang out for a while. Still using pan tilt to keep an eye on things. Then when batt hits 30%, head back.

    I have always thought of this, perfect way to document the behavior of the police or see group movement (this seems to have been filming the "ultra-right"-nazi-hools, that decided to march in warsaw) and have later video evidence (as police-filmed material is often not open to the public).

    I just bet, in most case where you would start a copter it would be shot straight down, because the police is cautious about terrorists-attacks and the liking.
