Value for money always depends on how much time you can afford to waste.
What speed and range does it have?
It is not uncommon for RC planes to have a power ratio of more then 1:1. Granted they do not have to carry a payload, but for a short burst of power just to get in the air, 45deg is relatively simple.
The key to this is in the propeller size. Where larger propellers equals more thrust (and generally better efficiency), at the expense of a lower top speed and the practical problems typically associated with large prop clearance for takeoff and landing.

I never tried more than 30 pitch angle. I will try 45 degree with my talon.
Pitch angle is pretty much 45 degrees. Have done several other videos with no run at all, just toss it ito the air. Full autotakeoff, with no or little head wind

Why the reaction of some to the price tag is understandable, what most DIYers and many "pros" typically forget is the price of time, research, testing, integration and support.
No question a few of the best can build similar set-ups, including more expensive with full CF body and wings. And can definitely offer them at a lower price.
If, and only if they price their time at under $2 an hour, that is ... An immediate fail if it is any sort of business venture ...
In about year and a half landing these aircraft with the parachute landing never had a broken part that is not easily replaceable or serviceable. Wings and specially the fuselage and reinforced with carbon fiber rods, and the interior of the craft is completely redesigned and reinforced in many areas. You just won't believe how well designed it is internally. It will be nice to display interior pcitures of it but I can't. I can say it can take a lot of abuse, similar to a carbon fiber UAV, which we also manufacture.

I like the way you secured wings and Vtail segments. Are those plastic screws that are used ? With bolts on the other side ?
