Dronestagram, the first social network dedicated to aerial photography has just announced the winners of the 3rd International Drone Photography Contest organized in partnership with National Geographic.
More than thousands of pictures were submitted across three categories:
Nature/Wildlife, Sports/Adventure & Travel and it's been a very hard mission for the jury to make a selection.
The competition was judged on creativity, photographic quality and respect of the theme by a panel of experts including Deputy Director of Photography at National Geographic Patrick Witty as well as Emanuela Ascoli, Photo Editor of National Geographic France and
Eric Dupin & Guillaume Jarret, co-founders of Dronestagram.

Disappointing the Organisers and Partners allowed pictures that put innocent people in danger when pictures were taken. National Geographic should explain their policy regarding safety of their photographs.

Awesome pictures though
Call me cynical, but If I were the FAA looking to crack down on idiots flying where I don't want them to, all I'd have to do is just trawl the pictures on this site
This contest looks like it ran beter than the Airbus Cargo Drone competition. Well done to the winners.
