About aerial photovoltaics power plant inspection
Most of the mentioned defects result in the occurrence of hot places, known as hot spots. This is where there is an increased recombination of electrons and holes. Energy released during this process is radiated into the space as heat. These spots report excessive heating and the thermal difference compared with good cells can be higher than 50°C. This often leads to irreversible damage to the defective cell, as well as to the whole panel. Inspection of individual photo voltaic cells is usually a difficult task. Either the panels are located at a high height on the roofs of buildings, or the area is large and a visual inspection is both time and financially demanding. The omission of regular inspection once a year (detailed inspection a minimum of 1x per 4 years) can have fatal consequences in the form of fire.
The ideal solution to this problem is the application of thermal camera systems because the hot spots are significantly reflected on the thermal image (termogram) by contract colouring towards the surrounding. In most cases it is not possible or safe to approach the panels with a thermal camera either in the case that the panels are located on sloped roofs or cases where passing between the panels is prevented by various obstacles (plants, roughness of the terrain …). For these reasons, an elegant and efficient solution is the fixation of the Workswell WIRIS on the drone.
About the video
Several advantages and features of Workswell WIRIS are presented, but a lot of features did not fit the time for the video. For a few minutes you can also see Workswell CorePlayer - software for analysis of measured data.
Due the GPS information that is saved for each picture a creation of 3D model is also possible and that is presented in the video.

I always appreciate having the prices as well when reading the DIY articles on cool new gear. It just saves us all time. Many of us interested in thermal imaging and radiometry already have a decent idea of what's out there and have in mind a price we're willing to pay.
After digging around a bit I did find pricing on the hardware. The Viper-Drones partner website (http://www.viper-drones.com/store/) indicates a cost of either $7,950 or $11,400 depending on the model.
Hi, See that's my issue - you are using old school marketing / sales techniques. If I cant work out if the product is a good fit from your website and determine it's in my price range then it's a modern day marketing fail in my view. There should be no need to discuss it with you, your information should be doing that, that is unless I have specific questions. The model your using wastes time (for both parties).
If your business model is not to sell direct then that is okay, put something up about contact our partners for pricing. They can then choose to put it online or not and then my comments would apply to them. If you are selling via partners then please on that page mention who to contact - put a link to the partners page.
I'm not even saying you need to say x component is y dollars. But no where do i see even a price guide, you can do x, y and z for less than $10k. That gives the potential buyer who has a budget of $4k know that that it's not worth their time, or if the buyer has $25K they know they might be looking at several devices. Imagine going to a house auction with no price guide, it wastes all parties time - this is the same. I know lots of the bigger places use this technique but it's a old technique that doesn't belong in the 'information age'.
Case in point one of your partners (Go Outdoors - who I have used purchases in the past), I go to their site and type search 'thermal', your product doesn't even show up. That's a potential lost sale straight there, you should talk to your partners. So I've done my research and I'll choose other vendors for my needs because I've been given the run around.
Anyway I've given my 2c your choice but in this modern world you'll miss out as people like me say I don't like being locked into 'old style sales techniques', I'll support those who use the style of marketing I like, after all I'm the one with the money. Before you say I'm not your target audience, I am about to start commercial operations in the next few months, just waiting for my certification to be processed. So I should be in your target audience - it would be an extra 'selling' item for me - if the price was right (seems I'll never know).
Price is available online on our partners websites, but if you are interested in this kind of devices, you have to invest some time to know even more than price.
Hi,
Why do sellers make us contact you for the price. It's an old form of marketing, we are in 2010's now, not the 1960's. I'm starting to black list companies that do this. We want to be able to work out a rough cost benefit analysis. My time is valuable and stuffing around writing an email or filling out a form, then waiting for prices. Straight off the bat you've got me off side. Even a ball park would allow us to work out if we should even contact you..... Heck if the price isnt even close to what we are prepared to pay then we just waste your time asking about it.
