3 axis camera setup on APM 2.6

I have set up my 2.6 with roll and pitch on rc 10 and 11 as advised, and they work fine.  When I try to allocate rc9 for pan, Mission Planner won't recognise it. Is there something you have to do extra to enable this please? I am using analogue servos currently, but could switch to digital if required to sort this.
I simply cant find a blog that addresses the third (pan) servo at all. Help please!!

      Are you planning to use digital or analogue servos? It seems that all but A10 and A11 pins operate at a frequency that is only effective for digital?? Good luck......
