I dont understand why people cant answer this question?
There have been multiple threads created about range of the 3DR radios.. How about people start posting up what ranges they have successfully achieved with said radios?
indeed. "It depends" is totally true, but if some people say "I used the stock HK 433Mhz clones and got 3km LOS at 57200 at 100mw, and at 4.5km it dropped out", that would be super useful. Yes there are noise floors so YMMV, but it'd be a good start.
The maximum range of any radio is the result of many elements, mainly antennas and altitude. As for the power output of the 3DR radio, it is listed in the information supplied by them. The max output is 100 milli Watts, but it can be reduced through software if desired.
