I have started to add functions to MinimOsd code.
At first i did it for myself only. Added many functions i thought i need. Then opened this thread.
after a while, Pedro and later Miguel came, and things started to happen fast. :D
They have optimised the code and added even more things to it.
They have worked hard on CT, and it became a great tool!

By now MinimOSD-Extra got a pretty advanced OSD.

This functions can be turned on and off, and placed on different screens now, by the Config. tool.
Also RSSI, switching mode and channel and unit measurement, Stall speed warning, Overspeed warning, Battery warning volt, Battery percent warning, RSSI warning, can be set in new Config Tool.
We built in a new way of setting video standards. Now OSD does not guessing anymore :). You can set it fixed from CT. It is in "Video Mode" menu.

Some feedback on 1.28:
I have the overspeed warning , even before flight- why ?
The airspeed and groundspeed is in M/H miles ? - is this some final standard now ? , I've seen km/, m/s, and now this - is the community going to decide to one unit ?
"Pull Up" is spelled "Pull Upp"
The flight time clock, it would be nice if it started when throttle was >50% (takeoff)

A little more information about 1.28:
Removed tune panel, because of lack of space on the chip.
(still in the source but commented out.)
Added configuration menu.
To enter, switch between two modes within 2 sec. (Same as screen off)
Only comes up within 1 min. from startup.
Here you can set: metric or US system, overspeed, and stall speed. (use transmitter to set it. ch1 and ch2)
Also, don't forget to upload the latest charset. OSD should show 1.4.
(it is in config tool 1.28 directory.)
After first start, turn it off than on again, than everything should work. ;)

I've tested the OSD today but could not make a video due to my DVR did not arrive yet. My review:
- Great firmware. The best I've ever used;
- Amps. Bat%, Climb rate, etc... everything worked perfectly;
- Stall message kept appearing all the time, even with airspeed showing 20/30Km/h (what's the minimum speed?)
- I could not test the OSD turn off feature due to Stall kept appearing;
- Pull Up message was a great surprise! When I was landing, close to the ground I could see "Pull Up"showing in the screen...great...
- I'm not sure if my airspeed measurement is not good, but wind speed and direction function showed me strange information (almost no wind, and WS showed around 40Km/h wind.
Keep the great work with the firmware.

Hi Gabor, great improvements. I've loaded 2.7 version and will fly tomorrow to try. I'll let you know the results.
One thing I've tested and did not work was the turn on/off function. Changing manual/stabilize modes between 1s and 1.5s just turned off the OSD for a moment and it came up again (it just flashes).

Added climb rate and tune panel.
Tune panel is to check if your APM parameters are set correctly.

I had an idea before. That we know our ground speed, air speed ,and heading, we can tell the wind speed and direction.
Sounds simple. :)
This is the new panel i have added.
It will show the wind speed and its direction relative to the plane. (I mean i hope :) Needs to be tested.)
To use this function you need an airspeed sensor tuned as good as possible.
Here is how it works: You have to make a gentle 180° turn at least, and if there is usable data within a minute, panel will show the estimated wind speed and direction. Also your plane have to be over 10m above your home altitude.
If it works as i expect it, than i will make the code more simple.
