I have started to add functions to MinimOsd code.
At first i did it for myself only. Added many functions i thought i need. Then opened this thread.
after a while, Pedro and later Miguel came, and things started to happen fast. :D
They have optimised the code and added even more things to it.
They have worked hard on CT, and it became a great tool!

By now MinimOSD-Extra got a pretty advanced OSD.

This functions can be turned on and off, and placed on different screens now, by the Config. tool.
Also RSSI, switching mode and channel and unit measurement, Stall speed warning, Overspeed warning, Battery warning volt, Battery percent warning, RSSI warning, can be set in new Config Tool.
We built in a new way of setting video standards. Now OSD does not guessing anymore :). You can set it fixed from CT. It is in "Video Mode" menu.

The easiest way is to use telemetry and get the mavlink message.
Checking out the minimosd source code is a good starting point.

Why do not switch panels?
I tried direct mode on ch6 and ch8 with and without rotate but do not swith.
RSSI allway 0% and show Warning VSPEED but on the desk.

As you can see, "Auto Panel Switch" is disabled. The only way I can get the OSD to not freeze after arming the APM is to disable the "Warnings" , but it totally defeats the purpose.
If you have problem to update the charsets with your MiniOSD i've found that, with the latest plane version (R780) is impossible to update the charsets, just flash before the latest copter version (R789), flash the charsets 2.4.0.1 and then reflash the plane hex.
Copter 2.2 Freezes after arming APM...anyone know what the issue is and how to fix it?

Freezing is a known issue of copter 2.2.
It freezes after 1 minute poweres on.

I have tried r791, but the issue is that the character-set does not take. The "Heading Rose" is a bunch of Gobeldy Goop (random characters), as well, the AS & GS characters are incorrect. What do you suggest I do to get the character-set working with r791?

You should be able to upload the latest charset (MinimOSD_2.4.0.1.mcm) with the latest CT Tool (r788)
The charset is inside the CT Tool folder.
