I have started to add functions to MinimOsd code.
At first i did it for myself only. Added many functions i thought i need. Then opened this thread.
after a while, Pedro and later Miguel came, and things started to happen fast. :D
They have optimised the code and added even more things to it.
They have worked hard on CT, and it became a great tool!
Thank you Bough! :)

We built in a new way of setting video standards. Now OSD does not guessing anymore :). You can set it fixed from CT. It is in "Video Mode" menu.
Here is how it looks: (This video is a bit outdated, sorry. I will make a new one soon.)
The MinimOSD-Extra project is here: Link
This project is the developing version of the official Arducam OSD located here: Link
The latest stable version is: 2.2
The latest version can be downloaded from here: MinimOSD-Extra R800

CT is included. (The FW for Plane, Copter, Character upload and the character file is in the "FW & Char" directory inside CT directory)
We are sharing it to see videos you make using it! :)

@Gábor
Hi, thanks for all your work. I have a semi working OSD and am waiting to getmy programmer back off a friend to test futher. But i do what you say.
Use latest CT
Power osd on both sides
upload charcter uploader firmware
upload characterset
upload copter (from the lastest link)
And I dont think i have ever had a character set take on two different minim osd
Like i say i edit character sets that work and yet when i "upload" the new character set there is no change what so ever so i canonly assume the last firmware was left.
Not sure how to debug this problem
However all in all the osd is very very good!

Write me a pm.
I will help you.

Ok so here is what I tried now an still no success. Did some more reading and found out that this character update can be a but iffy with the plane firmware. So with stable 2.2 CT I put in the copter firmware, then I powered the other side of the minim with 12v and the LED on that side was lit, I used the Update Charset button under the options menu and blew in the latest character set and again it said it had completed correctly. Then blew in the 2.2 plane firmware and checked the display and all was 100%. Went to R800 latest CT and blew in the latest firmware and configured it and still gobble dee gook on the screen same as always mostly on the compass rose and horizon. Am now back at stable 2.2 and all OK again. This is getting crazy now as I suspect Robert had tried this too. All I want is to have CRUZ and AUTO displayed in the mode area and for it to show me mah used instead of %. Anyone else any idea's if I am doing anything wrong? Is the latest firmware hardware dependant? The board I have is not an original board from 3dr but looks identical to the v1 board. HELP LOL
So at what point do I use the Character_Updater_FW.hex that is included in the latest archive to update the Character Set? I now have my board back working with the stable 2.2 version.
No I don,t but I was under the impression that when using the Character_Updater_FW.hex in the Minim this was not needed but again I could be wrong this is why I am asking for help. So you are saying that even using that method that I need to power the 12v side?
