Align T-Rex 600 APM Take-off Issues

We have configured the APM to work with an Align T-Rex 600. However, during our first few test flights, there seems to be a problem when we're trying to take-off. The hellicopter wobbles after taking-off a few inches from the ground. The APM was set to Stabilize mode. Are there any other factors other than the PID tuning that may be causing the problem?

  • Almost positive that is simply your Rate PID tuning.

Do you have it set to Flybar mode or Flybarless?  It should be Flybar, since you have one.

You most likely will need to reduce Pitch and Roll Rate_P, and probably increase Rate_FF which can only be found in the Advanced Parameters list at this time unfortunately.
