  • I have tried both and did not notice any difference. As long as they are good quality servos.

  • IMO, digital is the only way to go.  If only to have proper centering.  I have no idea how a PID loop could work with massive amounts of hysteresis in the plant.

    • I would like to hear more insight on this as well.  For a fixed wing aircraft would analog servos work just as well even though centering might not be exact on?

  • I have always used analog servos and never had a problem. I guess your airframe will dictate how fast your servos really need to be. The only digital servo I use is on the tail of my Tri-copter.
