any hints for nitro plane setup?

Hi, while reading through the forum and documentation, it seems that the current ardupilot code is intended for electric planes only. Does anybody have experiences with equipping a nitro plane? What needs to be changed in the code? I'm trying to install arduino in my calmato trainer 40.Thanks for hints.

    Time for an E conversion!

I have been in R/C for 35 years and for the first 30 I considered electric to be for toys only, but since the impact of the PC revolution on the electric motor and battery technologies, electric is the way to go!
    (even for large models)

No more fighting with tempormental carbs, crappy fuel, burned out glow plugs, overheating engines, the insessant noise, and cleaning the castor oil mess off the wings, fuselage, and everywhere else!, etc.

Now, as long as your lipos don't catch fire or explode, or crap out 'cuz you ran them down too low, or your ECS does'nt burn out in flight, or your batteries don't shift in flight and bring down your plane...
WAIT, WHAT WAS I TRYING TO GET AT???
