APM 2.5 Strange behaviour in FBWA and RTL modes

Hi,

I am using 3DR APM 2.5 with 3DR PM and Minimosd from the last 8 months or so. Today i run into problem while having a routine flight. Please notice that i haven't change any major setting in parameters and just added couple of WP and changed some minor PID settings for Roll and pitch for fine tuning and that's it.

I launched in manual mode and after switching to FBWA mode the plane got inverted itself and leveled and in RTL mode it dived towards the ground and i guess its because it was trying to reach the assigned altitude but was inverted. Can anyone please explain whats going on?

I am using Aurduplane 2.76.

Please check a short video clip for reference.

  • I am having a similar issue.  I am a noob, so likely this is setup error, a troubleshooting list here would be useful.

I have completed autotuning, and for quick test tried "RTL".  The plane went inverted and I reacted before I could tell what else it would do.

I have attached log (hopefully right one).

Well at least you didn't crash, good piloting, something must be reversed. We're flying v2.76 and do not have this behaviour.

When your plane is on the ground and level, switch to FBWA... what happens? Ailerons go to their stops or stay more or less level?
