For simplicity, i just mounted my APM with nothing but velcro on the center of my quad.
Ive already flew in stabilize a few times (just simple hovering) and after a few PID adjustments, ive achieved hovering with minor drifts (i always have to use the pitch/roll trims and constant input from the transmitter to keep it from moving).
What do you think about the velcro mount? anyone else is mounting their APM this way? could it just go out of control due to the apm not being solid mounted and have some movement?
thanks
sam

Mine is with a double adhesive tape about 3layer. Still hasnt come loose yet but would be advisable to check every now and then.
Zip ties would be good :)
It could easily come loose in a crash and fly off, breaking components. Maybe you could add a zip tie or something to keep it on?

I have used velcro for APM mounts in multiple quads and everything goes smooth..... maybe it is not "the best" option but for me it works!
Try to look to other aspects that can produce vibrations like props not balanced, frame construction.....
