apm not arming?

I'm something of a Hacker.(no not a silly scrip kiddie) That was awhile back anyways :) I ordered the Smartie parts board before I ordered my 9x!

The first high dollar computer I built as a kid had the laser cut traces bridged (SO I could overclock it) 2 minutes after getting it home. I guess I dont feel something is truly mine until Ive had my hands in it's guts.

(I often have to remind myself to check to see if things work BEFORE I take them apart)

Anyway at first I thought ER9X was pure lunacy. I flashed back to the stock firmware, waiting for a day when I had more time. but like wheel to the caveman it grew on me. :)

Not by me trying to read the manual and go step by step, but by jumping in an programming 6 modes into it. Now I LOVE the thing. and meepee is such a sweet program and companion.

Im now having a small problem.....I tried searching and came up blank. I cant get the thing to arm my quad! It armed before. All of my modes work great. I calibrated it several times on both the unit and in the mp. Throttle down, left stick down and right. nothing. Ideas?

  • I had a issue like that with the stock FS firmware.   Does the Mode setting default to mode 1 on every model in the memory with the new firmware?

  • I checked for that. my switch was in the stabilize position, and my telemetry connection confirmed as much. I tried swirching into simple stabilize, and in and out of loiter as well. nada.

  • Are you sure which flight mode it's in when you try to arm?  I've been caught out a few times, and then realized I had it in auto or RTL or Loiter while trying to arm.  It's a safety feature, and you can't do that.
