Will Snodgrass replied to Darius Jack's discussion DJI GroundStation protocol vs. MAVLink in ArduCopter User Group
"I think your going to run into the problem that DJI was NEVER meant to be an open system. More of an open box, fly, crash a few times then throw way kinda thing. I know that doesnt help you much, but its one of the primary reasons we fly open…"

Will Snodgrass replied to climr's discussion Loiter drifting, please help diagnose in ArduCopter User Group
"Put the PGS/MAG on a pedestal if you can. Also running the autotrim (not Autotune) might solve your problem"

Will Snodgrass replied to Robert Giordano's discussion How to Launch Arducopter, IRIS, or SOLO from a Boat in ArduCopter User Group
"2 points.

1. Is that when you can RTL from a boat, I would fly the copter as close as possible before hitting RTL, so that the boat hasnt had a chance to moved much since it acuired its GPS fix. (Now I am making the assumption that the newer RTL…"

"1. Being as how RTL is coded to return to certain point, Im sure you could code a secon (Think RTL2 that returns to a different point....but It appears its already being looked at.

Will Snodgrass replied to Barrie Clarke's discussion HK mega 2.7 in ArduCopter User Group

Will Snodgrass replied to Cala's discussion Load a Mission planner mission in Tower it's possible? Yeeessss!!!! in Tower (Droidplanner)
"I think maybe your over complicated things. If you load the mission to APM (or pix) at your house then there still in there when you get to where you going. Can you just hit auto (or whatever) without reloading waypoints that are already in the IMU?…"

Will Snodgrass replied to amirhossein eshtiaghi's discussion APM 2.6 Calibration in ArduCopter User Group
"ID say about 90% or more of knockoffs work just fine. And 3DR has made there money and doesnt support (for copters anways) now.  Although for planes its still works great because the code is way smaller and doesnt have to run as fast. So technically…"

Will Snodgrass replied to Noah Dalton's discussion Drone Clearing Snow off Solar Panels

Will Snodgrass replied to MC's discussion EMERGENCY: Lost Iris+ in IRIS
"You really should invest in a tablet. a 10.1" Motorola Zoom with Verizon LTE  (or set up your phone as a hotspot) can be had on ebay for $80 to $100 and supports USB. Another good option (Especially since you can set up your drone from the tablet)…"
