ArduPilot GCS cannot display Course from 180 to 360 degree

Hi, recently I did ground test by holding my ArduPilot, ArduIMU+, MTK GPS(NMEA setting) and XBee in hand and walking around.  I found that everything displayed well on ArduPilot GCS, except when I turn myself clockwise or vice versa.  Course data only displays from 0 to 180 and no response from 180 to 360.  As I remember in Test 6, my ArduIMU showed course data range from 0 to 179 and -179 to 0.  I think GCS cannot recongize -179 as 181 and so on.  Shall I adjust either the setting of GCS or ArduIMU for displaying correct course info.?

Thanks!

  • Hey, can i ask you that how fast are u receiving your course data? means how fast is it refreshing? I am using the latest 2_7 program and the data is refreshing rather slowly..

I think the IMU is sending -180 and is corrected in the new version.

    Let's keep heading 0 - 360.

Please do the fix on the GCS side as ArduPilot 2.7 is sending standard course data, It was 0-360 in early versions, but was changed in later versions. With no correction to ArduStation released to address this change.
Please post your patched code. Thanks
