Is it a good idea to have a 50mW 900MHz Xbee right next to your GPS? asking because my current airframe design puts them about 1/2 an inch apart. Thanks!

I have had the same setup working ~3.5" away and the ublox worked fine. Mount it on a board and test it. That's the only way to know for sure. Further the better. The GPS may work under ideal conditions, but loose lock from interference when the stars are not in alignment, I mean sats.
Ok thanks, I guess I will have to re-think that desing... While I'm at it, should I have the Xbee close to the motor? I know motors sometimes give off EM waves...
I have everything on one shield right now. the xbee is actually right beside the gps, what problems might i encounter? bad reception? or will it completely block the gps? if i remember correctly, gps works on 1.58Ghz and 1.23Ghz, with civilian gps units using 1.58...
share the picture of you AIRFRAME and some one will be able to help you. but in general , having telemetry radio away (12") from every thing else is recommended.
The only concern I would say is with the GPS wiring relative to the antenna on the xbee. It is a good idea to keep the xbee as far away from any of your hardware as possible. Can you put the GPS on the opposite side of the airframe?
