Can I stabilize servo gimbal using pixhawk?

Hi all,

I am trying to control it using Pixhawk, can I do that or do I need a gimbal controller.I have been trying to tune APM Planner to stabilize the pan and tilt servo gimbal I added. So far no luck.

The link above claims that it works. But I have not been able to get it to work. The pan servo response when the quad is moved but not in any way which is correct.

Any help would be great!

Thanks

Labiba

  • I figured it out. The Pixhawk can stabilize a servo gimbal. The instructions on the wiki page was wrong.

Pin 1 on aux is for tilt and RC 9
Pin 2 is for roll and RC 10
Pin 3 is for pan and RC 11
    Are the correct connections.

    • Hi Labiba, I think the wiki was corrected as you mentioned but my plane ( AP3.3) doesn't work with servo gimbal. Is there any additional document I should refer? Thanks in advance Labiba

  • Have you tried Mission Planner rather than APM Planner? Have you tried editing the parameters directly?
It works for me with the APM, I haven't tried it on the Pixhawk yet but it should be the same. Maybe you need to be more descriptive on the trouble you are having and you might get more help.
  • Hi Labiba,

do you have any reply to this question?

I'm on the way to buy a Pixhawk and I would like to know this too.

    Best regards
