Hi,
I'm having probs with my 3DR telemetry connection. After a minor crash (about a 3 foot drop) I started getting a telemetry connection problem. I tried powering up and connecting a few times and got stuck on Retrieving SysID 1 CompID 1, which when checking the error details says something along the lines of packets received but no parameter data. Finally on the 5th try it connected and all was fine.
When I got home ant tried again I got the same problem only now I don't get the odd connection. Having read as much as I could on here I checked the cable to make sure it wasn't broken. It wasn't.
The funny thing is that while its trying to get param SysID 1 CompID 1 I can arm the apm and change flight mode from my transmitter and it shows in Mission Planner along with the hud displaying tilt etc although only the YAW reading shows below the hud. So am I connected at this point? When the error finally shows the connection is dropped. Control T has the same effect. I can arm and change flight modes.
Any ideas? I'm not technical so dumb any replies down please. ;o)
Thanks in advance for any help you can give.
Andie

Hello, I'm having the same problem. All the modules are new... 433Mhz Rctimer modules. I tried with another Ground module and it connects with no problems... I think that could be a problem in the firmware of the ground module but it doesn't let upload the firmware again, it says Failed to identify radio... Thank you very much!
Plus one from me Andie,
I have the same issue and have replaced radio, PC, and am about to replace wiring. Mine also seems to get radio to radio connection when in close proximity. 30 feet away, the connection fails.
NB
this is error explanation ..see attached image, I also get a msg"Fail to update home location"
