What are the computer requirements to run APM mission planner?
Most of my computers are older running Windows XP. I have downloaded the support software listed in the guide. When I run the software I get google maps and the HUD but then the display freezes. I read where this could be a video card problem. Can anyone confirm this? Is there anything else required to run on an older computer. I have the same problem on a desktop and a laptop. I have a newer computer that is running Windows 7 and the mission planner is running fine there but I need it to run on these older computers too.

1. Open conf.xml in the planner folder in notepad
2. Under the line that ends insert a new line:
True
3. Save the file (making sure your not adding a.txt extension to it) and restart planner. You may have to restart a couple of times but it should work as ive youve ticked the box now.

Not sure if it is your problem, but in my experience it always pays to update video card drivers, and to keep windows machines up to date in general.

I run Mission Planner on XP emulated on an old MacBook laptop. I was having same issue as you (really slow/screen not drawing full) but after ticking the HUD checkbox at the bottom of the Configuration-Planner tab all works really well now. If you can't see the Configuration Tab (i.e. is doesn't draw/is white) just click in that area until you get it.
