Crash, why didn't she RTL?

Hi all,

It appears that I had a radio loss possibly caused by a connector popping off the APM Mini, now taped. Thrin & Throut go from 1000 to 0 on line 5911.

I'm wondering why she didn't RTL as all the parameters look good to me?

    She switched to RTL but she couldn't fly to you because she was crashed on the floor :(

    you switch to Drift and do a bad movement or something on your harware fails and when you crash, you lost signal and she switch to RTL but poor girl couldn't fly. Something looks strange on your cuad from the begining, check your harware and tunning.3701998112?profile=original

      Thanks but I didn't switch to Drift, that would have been the result of the radio failure running down through the pwm range to RTL.

        The crash, If you didn't switch to drift you have to check your pwm values in Fligth mode page (Mission planner); when you repair your cuad check your radio RX if connect correct but it's probbably that yes.

        Probbably you crash because you suppose that are flying in stab but she try to fly in Drift mode .

              Whoops, sorry if I stepped out of line! I used to be admin on a large car forum and we would have been moderating 24/7 if that little misdemeanour was thought to be a violation. Having said that, I'm happy to respect the rules in future..

              However..

What kind of numpty does he take me for? What substance is there in any that?

              Jeez, I've been flying multirotors semi-pro for over a year now, this is my 3rd build and have never yet crashed or even got close, until this one..

              There's been talk of trolls on here lately, well they take many forms and those that offer benign generalisations or just plain erroneous advice when they don't actually have a clue what they are talking about are the worst kind imo as the less well informed tend to take that advice and get further into trouble.

              Anyway, she flew faultlessly this evening so I'm going with the FC mount coming apart so will attend to that.

    Was the radio failsafe set up?

      Yes, pwm drops to ~900 when I turn the tx off..

      She did switch to RTL on her way down but there was no upwards movement accompanying that, see cap1 below.

      There was also something strange going on with vibrations too, see cap 2 below. Two of the four rubber mounts had separated when I picked her up afterwards so I'm wondering whether one or even two of these had popped out which meant she couldn't cope with the vibes and the radio connector popped out as a result of that..?
