Hi All,
Just a quick one. Is there a way to add cumulative mAh display to the GCS HUD? I've seen this on a lot of video OSDs and it strikes me as a more intuitive way to judge capacity over % derived from voltage (providing its accurate).
Some back reading (circa 2011) suggested this wasn't possible pre Mavlink 1 but now that we are there is this a hidden option or just waiting to be implemented?
Cheers

You know what would be nice.....if we could add to the mission planner the ability for the user to add a formula based on the available Mavlink parameters. For example if the user wanted to add the ability to display mAh remaining instead of % remaining they could right click the HUD and select Add User Item: Formula then enter the following Battery Capacity x battery_remaining, where 'Battery Capacity' would be a number the user would enter equal to the starting capacity of the battery. This wouldn't be able to give us mAh used but it would at least be mAh remaining instead of a %. Just an idea ;)

The sys_status message give you battery remaining from the APM https://pixhawk.ethz.ch/mavlink/#SYS_STATUS no mAh used. I agree it would be much better with a mAh used since last reboot, since it's easy to add up. unlike down to 80% the first time, reboot, now you have 100% of your 80%, reboot a t50% you have 100% of the 50% of the 80% :-o
